About Us

  • Our department, which started accepting students within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture in the fall semester of the 2018-2019 academic year, continues its education with 1 Professor, 7 assistant professors, and 3 research assistants.

  • Student admission to our department is carried out through a central exam system within the framework of the regulations determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). After students declare their program preferences, they are placed in the relevant programs by ÖSYM according to the scores they receive from this exam. Our department has a total of 62 student quotas, including 2 student top students, and has had a 100% first placement rate since the academic year it was opened. In addition, 222 students are studying in our department as of the 2020-2021 academic year.

  • Students who successfully complete our department are entitled to receive a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. In order for our students to graduate, they must complete a minimum of 240 ECTS (4 years - 159 national credits) curriculum with a minimum weighted GPA of 2.00, in a maximum of 7 years, with a compulsory internship of 60 workdays.

  • In addition to the compulsory courses they will take during their education, our students will be able to specialize in many areas such as software development, electronics, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity by choosing from 47 different elective courses.

  • Computer engineers who will graduate from our program will be able to work in public institutions and organizations, both domestically and internationally; in areas such as mobile, web, or desktop application development, system administration, and information security, and will also be able to play an active role in the development of the country's economy by establishing their own IT companies.

  • Students who graduate from our department can apply to study in postgraduate programs.

To train computer engineers who are competent in fields such as programming, artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning and cyber security, and to ensure that they take an active part in many interdisciplinary projects to be carried out with the participation of different departments.
